Short Films and Projects from

Cal State Long Beach

Early Narratives and Concept films, as amateur as they get–– yet filled with creativity and promise. This work ranges from short films, narrative audio interviews, to pitch-decks and deliverables.

Essa Chapter 1: Avery

Avery is an attempt survivor who seeks neuro-therapeutic help from Essa Health & Technology, a multi-industrial company that has ulterior motives for Avery and others like him.

Carla: A film for my sister

Short Documentary about the filmmaker’s sister and her journey from adolescence to adulthood. The short shines a light on their relationship for the past 15 years through Carla’s perspective.

Co-Producer & Camera, Editor and Sound

Dribble & Shoot

Comedic action film with Jake Moore getting a ball into the hoop, shot on a Sony Z150 from multiple angles on the court- pairing timely cuts, jazz music, and a comedic performance to create a stupidly funny and worthy video.

Writer’s Block

My painfully first short from my Introduction to Filmmaking Class at Long Beach. Reluctantly shot on a Canon SLR1 (an ancient DSLR), yet a dream and vision is still achievable through choice of shots to chronicle a journey into songwriting and music production!

Features sound and music recorded on the spot by Aaron Sayre (also starring Aaron Sayre). Filmed, written, and cut by me!

Ruby tells the story of moving out to Cal State Long Beach with a group of friends and why they wouldn’t end up living together for so long.

An audio interview that is visualized entirely through sound design. This project was designed as an early radio segment with record scratches, music compositions, and audio mixing all done by yours truly.
